2) Numbers matching 1968 Corvette stingray convertible the first year of the steel bumper cars just in from same owner 20 years finished in its original brittish racing green with black interior nicely optioned 327-300hp 4 speed with tinted glass tilt wheel all brand new Al knoch interior new correct red line poly glass tires fresh complete service unmolested engine compartment with original manifolds carb and accessories. full size original spare with jack and handle. 27,413 miles. Ended on June 21, 2018. 1) I have owned this car since 1980. The car had right front damage. Repairs were started but it was never painted. I am not sure if the repairs to the right front was correct or not. It was pop riveted, bondo. My cousin did excellent work on metal body cars, but was unfamiliar with working with glass. No change have been made to the original. It is a convertible with one rag top. The top is sitting over the battery compartment. The entire car is under a plastic tarp. This car is not roadable. Not sure if the miles are correct. I assume it has rolled over at least once. Oil was placed in the cylinders. The body has been stripped down to the glass. Parts are off the body but sitting inside the car. There may be some of those parts that are not usable now due to rust or weathering. Not sure of the original owner. I purchased this car from my cousin on October 27, 1980. My cousin bought the car from Moyers Used Cars, Crestline Ohio. The original color was forest green. When I got it the body color was maroon. I stripped the two layers of paint off. For at least the past five years it has been sitting on the ground, in our back yard. Before that it was stored in a garage. Just lost interest in restoring it. Shop manual, and other literature with the car. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is K05. May 6, 2009. |
