Restored L71 equipped 1968 Corvette features the matching numbers 427/435hp big block V8 with Tri-Power induction, coupled to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and a non GM issued VIN tag. Engine bored .030 over with new pistons and rods, retaining the standard crankshaft. Cylinder heads are fitted with new valves, valve guides and springs. The carburetors sent to Holley for rebuild and re-plated. Engine retains its transistorized ignition and smog pump. The rear end assembly is a 4.11 posi-traction unit that was completely rebuilt. Suspension components, shocks and steering gear have been replaced. Interior restored with new gauges, controls and AM/FM radio. Includes a new exhaust system and new red line tires and the vacuum retractable headlights. A great example with an exceptional restoration.
