2) This 1972 Corvette Stingray was one of only 286 produced equipped from the factory with the LT1 package and factory optioned Air Conditioning. This Vette was also loaded from the factory with options like a Saddle Leather Interior, Tilt Wheel, Power Windows, Positraction 3.55 Rear End, Custom Shoulder Belts, Power Steering, and an AM FM radio. The entire drivetrain, including the engine block, cylinder heads, transmission, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, alternator, distributor, and carburetor are all confirmed to be original to this vehicle. This combination of rare factory options, along with this vehicles expertly restored original condition make this Corvette a rare find. The exterior of this Corvette is in outstanding condition. The body lines are absolutely perfect in every way, which is uncommon for these fiberglass bodies. The paint was sprayed about 15 years ago, and still shines with great depth and clarity, and has an overall fresh appearance. The panels themselves were obviously prepped by a true professional, with no wavy areas to be spotted. The body of this Corvette is easily a 10 out of 10, while the paint would be a 9 out of 10. The emblems, lower rocker panel covers, and all trim pieces are also in excellent condition, with no corrosion or scuffing to be found anywhere. The chrome wheel trim and center caps are also in great shape with no corrosion or damage. The interior of this LT1 Stingray is up to par with the exterior, and is loaded with clean original components. The center console area is free from any damage whatsoever, with no scratche, dent, or sun damage to be found. The faces and lenses of all the gauges are all in like new condition, and are free from any evidence of harsh cleaning or improper care in the past. All electronic components and gauges function as they should. The original real wood inlay is in good condition throughout the interior of this Corvette, but does show signs of its age in some areas, most notably the drivers side door panel. The factory option leather seats are in beautiful condition, with an appropriate amount of wear on the outer bolster of the drivers seat. The carpeting, dashboard, and door panels are all in beautiful original condition, with no noticeable imperfections to be found. The Custom interior package included leather seat trim, special cut pile carpeting on the floors and lower side walls, wood grain inserts on floor console and bright die cast moldings on the doors. The quality of the restoration completed on this 1972 Corvette LT-1 is nothing short of superb. The project was completed approximately 15 years ago, and there are still no signs of deterioration or corrosion to be found anywhere on this Corvette. The underside of the vehicle is in outstanding condition, with no areas of apparent repair or signs of previous damage or abuse. Also, the paints, parts, and platings used on the components throughout the vehicle are true to the original, and original components were restored and reused throughout the entire vehicle. The only noticeable aftermarket piece on the entire vehicle is a fiberglass rear leaf spring, which makes this Vette tight and controlled in the turns. Even small details like ignition wire and heat shields which are generally overlooked have been painstakingly assembled to keep this LT-1 as original as possible. 63,957 miles from the odometer. Motor suffix code is V09??CKY. Color from the trim plate. Built date is F17. July 24, 2009.
