Car history:
1) This car began a restoration in 2006. Shortly after the restoration began the owner was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. He continued working on the car, as well as others as he restored cars professionally, up until the day he passed away. I bought the car after his passing from his wife, which you see inside the car in one of the photos. In that photo the car had just been painted. I still have the can of PPG paint but can barely read the label. The 350ci engine and muncie four speed were rebuilt and re-coated to factory specs as they are number matching to the car. The frame is solid and also coated to factory specs. The birdcage is also solid in the car and still has its green factory primer showing through. After the drivetrain was installed back in the car car the owner passed away. The car remained in an incomplete state and still is to this day. It has almost no miles on the drivetrain as there are still a few items that need to be addressed. The car does run and drive though. It needs new bushings in the rear of the car for example. I purchased the car a couple of years ago but it occupies space in my garage and can't complete other projects or it with the others in the way. I replaced the master cylinder and calipers a few months ago as the old brakes were not functioning within reason. I just replaced all of the vacuum lines. These cars require vacuum operation for the headlights to move up and down as well as the windshield wiper trap door to open. The interior is intact but I would eventually plan to purchase new panels. The t-tops need a shim kit to fit correctly and is available online with near any corvette restoration vendor. I would re-chrome or purchase new chrome trim such as the bumpers. I would repaint or touch up a few areas on the car as well. There is a spot on the top of the front fender that repair had begun but they never sanded back down and touched up. Though I would call this a project car for now, it is one that is easy to finish. If I had the time and space I could easily finish it within a few months and turn this into a thirty thousand dollar car. After seeing barn finds sell that are basically rat heavens for more than what I am asking, I feel very confident in the ease of finishing this project. However don't expect it to be a daily driver the moment you get it. You will need to put some elbow grease into it. The windshield wiper motor is not on the car. I have it but don't know if it works. The Air Conditioning system is not on the car either. I have it as well but don't know it's condition either. The hub caps you see on the car will come with it, but it has the Rally Rings on it now. I also have a lot of parts that will go with the car. Most are in boxes but for example the parts mentioned but also the original hood and luggage/t-top rack. The weatherstripping on the car is also brand new. I replaced it several months ago right before I rebuilt the brakes.
I do not know what the actual mileage is on the car. It is 45 years old so I have no way of knowing all of the details about the car, only what I have been able to convey at this point.
I now have way more photos under the car, inside the car, around the car, and a video of cold start and walk around. Ebay only allows me 24 pics to post so if you are a serious bidder then by all means shoot me a message with your email and I will forward them to you. Do not bid on this car if you don't fully understand that this is a project car. You will not drive this car from my home. Yes it runs and drives but it needs a lot of little things here and there to be safe and dependable. You will need to bring a trailer for the car and the additional parts for the car or provide a shipper. The car will make a good restoration project. Sold for $13,300 on March 4, 2018.
