1969 Corvette Convertible, 350, 4 speed, power steering, the mileage is unknown. This is not an expensive show car, this is a DRIVER that This could be a matching number car, the engine has been decked and the engine is removed and comes with the car. The car had front suspension parts, clutch, and pressure plate and throw out bearing replaced. The brakes are excellent and it shifts very smoothly. The headlights go up and down like they are suppose to work. Since I know the car, I would not be afraid to take it on a long distance trip tomorrow, but like all things that are mechanical and electrical, it might not make it out of town. There is one bubble in the paint on the top rear passenger side about the size of silver dollar. It has been there since I have owned the car. Since I have owned the car it has never seen rain or nighttime driving. It is kept under cover in a climate controlled building. If you want a Corvette to enjoy driving, then this is the car for you. It has 4 wheel disc brakes. The tach and engine parts suggest that is was originally a 350ci/300 hp car, but there is an upgrade intake manifold. I have included pictures of the dash, speedometer, engine, the plate above the driver's door hinge below the windshield and front of the engine on the 1" ledge on the passenger side between the head and block, next to the water pump. This is the previous owners Car history.
I have sinced removed the engine and replaced with a 1969 350/350hp Corvette Engine, the engine that was in the car had been decked and I could not read the numbers on the front pad to verify if it is a numbers matching engine, I looked up the casting on the back and that is correct. I have taken off the PO2 hubcaps and replaced with Beauty Rings and Center Caps. I like this look much better. I also replaced the dash pad. The car has alot of new parts that were not listed by the previous owner. All new power steering componets, front end was rebuilt, new shocks, new drive shaft and half shafts have new u-joints. new rear leaf spring, and the trailing arms have been replaced, new E-Brake componets, new battery cables, new wiper motor. I did replace the clutch with a duel friction center force clutch to accomadate the new power. I also resealed the M-20 transmission and replaced the shifting fork inside. The car has a 3.08 rear and I would like to replace with a 3.73. I would also like to install Flowmaster 40's on it to give the nice sound.
The car is missing the spare tire carrier and a couple of interior pieces that finish off the rear compartment. I am also learning what parts are correct. I am not looking to have a 100% parts and numbers matching car, I just want it to look nice and to be dependable.
The car is a decent driver, is has a few paint flaws ,at least I'm not afraid to drive it and worring about getting a chip or ding.
