Car history:
2) 53,068 original miles. Perfect 1968 Texas plates. Car was built in October of 1967. ALL numbers match. L-71 427/435hp, tri-power. Muncie M21 4 speed. 4.10:1 Factory posi rear. Factory F41 suspension (Gymkhana springs on the car now, originals are included in a box). Factory N11 SP off-road exhaust. K66 Transistorized Ignition just rebuilt by Dave Fiedler at TI Specialties in IN. Engine, carbs, transmission, and rear end recently rebuilt. All receipts. Repainted in original Silverstone Silver in 2017, only been washed one time since. Garage is virtually dust free. Original hard top no longer with the car. The carpet, seats, dash, console, door panels, seat belts and visors are the originals. They have not been restored, they're just as they appear in the photos. The interior is not faded though, not sure why some of the pics look that way, it's all very black. The original optioned am/fm stereo is still in place, it lights up but there is no sound. Houston Corvette Services recently installed ice cold Vintage Air and a Borgeson power steering system. Those are both easy to undo if the new owner wishes.
Selling it mostly because it terrifies me to dive this on the streets of Houston. We also have very limited space for cars (2 car garage, no driveway).
Receipts go back to 1969, a ton of them. Tank sticker still in place, pics of it included. Just over 53k original miles. Options are: L71 427 tri power with 435 hp. Muncie M21 4 speed 4:10 posi rear F41 suspension N11 off-road exhaust K66 ignition Am/fm stereo transistor radio Soft Ray tint Redline tires Rally wheels
Just installed new BFG tires and ditched the redlines. Less than 50 miles on these. Drives and rides perfect! Brand new interstate battery and cutoff switch just installed as well.
Small mountain of Receipts all the way back to 1969. Title is clear. No accidents ever on this car according to inspection. BiN $79,000 but reached $27,100 (RnM) on May 16, 2018.
1) 1968 Corvette 427/435 tri-power L71 Convertible, M20 four speed. Matching numbers survivor (Engine, Transmission, Rear Differential + more) w/ recently complete engine rebuild. Documented with original tank sticker. 53K original miles. Only 2,898 427/435 cars produced in 1968. Silverstone Silver only 1,155 produced in this color exterior with Black vinyl interior, black convertible top, original AM/FM radio. Clock works as does all electrical including head lamps. Number matching engine, transmission and rear differential. Extensive file of receipts. Mostly original interior including carpet, console, dash, door panels. Early 1968 production October '67.
