Good, solid C3 Corvette with thousands recently spent on parts and repairs.
Vehicle Details 1971 CHEVROLET CORVETTE LS5 454 VERY NICE 454 LS5 CORVETTE FEATURING: Big Block 454 V8 (365 HP) Automatic Transmission Power Steering Power Disc Brakes Power Windows Tilt Steering Column Air Conditioning Removable T-Tops
ALSO FEATURING: New Fuel Tank New Edelbrock Carburetor New DeWitts Radiator (with Black Ice factory-look finish and dual electric fans) New Edelbrock Polished Aluminum Water Pump New HEI Distributor New MSD Spark Plug Wires New Gates Hoses New Gates Belts New Tires (225/70R/15) New Battery New Starter New Fuel Filter New K&N Air Filter
THE GOOD: Runs Well Looks Great Dry, Solid Frame No Leaks Currently (it is a classic car, however, so things can change unexpectedly!)
Attractive interior TON$ of money already spent in repair/restoration Binder with receipts/photos going back many years will be given to new owner
C3 Corvettes are increasing in value and since they are not making them anymore, their value - like the C2 Corvettes - should only skyrocket (seriously, look at it - who would not want one?)
THE BAD: Needs brake work (hisses when pedal is pushed - possible booster leak. Because of this, the brakes are compromised and, so, unfortunately, because of the liability issues involved I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER TEST DRIVES. Sorry, but this is Non-negotiable.)
Air Conditioning needs a new belt and recharging Engine not thought to be original Not all instruments are working The passengers side door lock will not open with the key (locks fine, however, from the inside)
THE SEMI-UGLY:
Attractive and shiny paint (lots of compliments!) but does have some flaws here & there (some nicks/chips/missing paint as a result of normal use. Most notable, though, are several bubbles at various areas around the car due to incorrect paint prep according to a noted Corvette repair shops explanation. Please see photos to see some of them. (Note: I have owned the car for 8 years and the bubbles have not changed in number or size.)
Priced to sell, this is a solid LS5 Corvette that has had many thousands of dollars in parts and labor restoration spent on it recently. It would still benefit from additional work to fix the brakes, and, if desired, repair non-functioning instruments, the right-side door lock, reinstall radio antenna and replace the belt & recharge the AC system. |
