This vette is engineered/designed to be a winning Fatest Time of Day agile, highly responsive car. Numerous other awards including 2002 best sounding car on race track, Peoples Choice 2004...............The 1974 DAYTONA parade lap my 1968 was announced to be the most brillantt car on the race track. Many one of a kind enhancements: very hi torque engine-ported semi open chamber oval port heads Engine chained down on left side to reduce stress on motor mounts, race winning quick throttle response, special chambered exhaust with L88 Kustom Lemans headers. unique drive train using General Kinetics cam & Isky components....light weight L88 clutch assemby......hi load rear end minimal slip, designed clutch assy, Recient maintence regrease all wheel bearings rear-in/out, front-in/out with GM-AC-DELCO 1051344. Replacement of all rubber fuel hoses, includung the dual fuel lines from gas tank to fuel pump, needed to keep carbs from running out of gas during hard acceleartion. All subassemblies, have been upgraded with ITEMS from the SPECIAL CHEVROLET EQUIPMENT BROCHURE'S sent to serious race car builders by CHEV-ENG. Engine: upgraded with forged L88 & 435 crank, rods, pistons, flyweel. Transmisson: HD bearings & special gear set. Rear End: special clutch pack-design. Since this design is for an autcross car special attention is always to light weight, low-mass-interia parts. When building the special engine strong attention was given to racing clearances so as to reduce as much friction as possible. The new owner will also learn what was done to gain a comsiderable power increase out of an upgraded rebuilt engine. An autrocross engine design (fast out of corners) is completely different than an engine that runs on the Daytona tri-oval. This is also true for the enginerred supension design. Current supension settings are optimised for street & track. This special corvette has many man-years of engineering research & development, that is why it consistently beat all small blocks, big L88 blocks & even RP(race prepared) corvettes & other sports cars. Included is a multitude of spare parts: orginal teak steering wheel, SCCA 91/2, rims, new in boxs interior items, 1973 racing hood#331973 (copy) sent to me by Chev-Corvette-Eng......carb, engine, supension. Being a team manager/crew chief/consultant for corvettes that raced @ SEBRING & DAYTONA gave me direct contact with Chev-Engeering (meet them personal @ Sebring) with result of this vette having many special features. Has tempory/removeable vintage race decals installed. The vette must be seen in person & DRIVEN to get the thrill of this real C3 race car, that can be driven on the street.
