Car history:
3) The serial number on the block matches the VIN. The intake is also cast correct. I'm not sure about the transmission but it looks to be an M21. The car will need a full restoration. The frame will need some repair or replacement. The car is a convertible hard top option. Both are included. The convertible frame and the hard top are in great shape. The bird cage looks great. I do have the speedometer and a few other parts in boxes pictured in the link below. Mileage is unknown. I have a video of the engine running. It sounds great. The transmission shifts through the gears. The clutch is working. I really hate to see this car go but I just don't have time to restore it. The car is available to view in Deland Florida. Sold for $10,100 on August 28, 2016. Sold for $10,211 on November 22, 2016.
2) 1968 Corvette convertible with 2 tops and a matching number correct 427 engine believed to be original to the car. Has a Muncie 4 speed transmission that shifts smooth. Frame is rusty and in need of repair or replacement (see pictures) this car will need a complete restoration. Still has the correct metal headlight bezels, correct big block radiator support, correct front and rear sway bars and heavy duty side yokes on rear. Convertible top frame is nice and solid along with a decent bird cage. Door panels are in good shape, dash pad is in good shape. Still has GM front end and bonding strips in place. Passenger side door does not open, not sure why have not tried to fool with it. Original color was 983 code British green. It does run and lot drive. This is a rough car and would need to be restored by a professional. Mileage on this car is unknown. Once again this is a very rough car in need of full restoration. It does run and lot drive, meaning it is not road worthy but would have no problem driving on a trailer. BiN: $14,500. March 17, 2015.
1) 427ci #s Matching engine, runs fantastic, good acceleration, no smoke or eng noise. 4 Speed is a 1966 Muncie M20, feels good, have not driven it because there are no brakes. I think it was originally parked and not driven in awhile is because of a burnt coil wire. Engine Casting #; 3916321.....Stamped pad #; T112011...VIN # stamped on pad. (NDLR: Pad is probably IL). It will need frame rail repair on the rear cross member behind the seats, on the drivers side about 2 feet from the cross member corner and a bit on the passenger side. The fiberglass will need to be re-bonded, mainly on the drivers side door stryker pillar and a small bit at the passenger side door stryker pillar. Has 2 drivers side seats, one is broken at the tracks. There is no speedometer in it now but I have an N.O.S. 1969 Speedometer in a housing. The back part of the console is broken. I believe everything this car need can be purchased through Aftermarket Corvette parts dealers. It will take someone that knows something about fiberglass repair to do this car justice and some welding experience but it is a rare, restorable good running car. I can take more pictures if contacted. I have lowered the price substantially because I have another car I want to buy. The car is presently in Orlando Florida. I will be here for another week before I take it back. BIN $11,000. December 18, 2014.
