| I am selling this very nice 68 Corvette that a friend of mine traded to me for my 69 GTO Judge. This car is a numbers matching 57,000 original mile car. The Chevrolet Tag states that the car came from the factory with Trim- 425 and Paint-974- Rally Red. The car was repainted last summer and it cost a litttle over $6,500 and they did a great job and it is defenitely a show quality paint job. The majority of the exterior chrome was replaced or rechromed when car was painted as well and the new 18 inch wheels and tires were installed at that time with no more than 500 miles being put on the car since the paint and wheel and tire upgrade. I have the original Corvette Rally Wheels on 15-inch tires with trim rings and center caps so if buyer would rather have the original wheels I will discount the car $2,000 and keep 18 inch wheels and tires and install originals on car for buyer. If buyer wants both sets of tires and wheels we can negotiate that upon an agreed purchase price of car. The engine has the following numbers and letters stamped on front right pad: V0206HT = 327-350hp-L79-11.0:1 compression, 8S411122 = last eight of vin# on Corvette. The engine runs strong with no noises or smoke and holds very good oil pressure cold or hot and the close-ratio 4-speed Muncie transmission shifts well. The car has factory 4 wheel disc brakes that work well. The car does not have power steering but is easy to drive with manual shift. The A/C compressor and brackets are missing. All the gauges work including the tachometer, speedometer, odometer, etc. The headlights work well and go up and down like they are suppose to. Wipers work well but wiper door is cranky and i am working on it but no promises. The original interior is in good shape but original leather seat covers need replaced to make it real nice. The original Corvette wood steering wheel is in place with horn working. The original AM/FM radio is in place as well. The previous owner stated he has the protecto plate and some other original paperwork he is sending me so I will pass these items along to new owner. The exhaust and underside is solid and in good shape and there are no rust issues with the car. |
