| Car history: |
| 1968 Corvette 427 Big Block 390 H.P. 427 Engine is orginal to the car and it matches with the VIN numbers. Intake, transmission, rear differential. It is also orginal. Power break. Don't have power power steering or air conditioning. Engine and transmission has been recently been professional rebuilt. All new bushing, steering linkage, exhaust system including exhaust manifold were installed less than a year ago. Carburetor was recently professional rebuilt, acid clean. New door panels were installed along with new windshield. Side glass are orginal with Astro Ventilation logo. New weather strip were installed. All new emblem and door felts. Paint job was done a year ago at Munday Chevrolet. Car was professional strip down to fiberglass, sealed and primed. All trimmed were removed. Color painted was silver as stated on the orginal trim plate. All bumbers were professional rechromed and headlight mechanism rebuilt with many new parts. Many, many new parts were used and a lot of money and labor put in. This vette is sharp, shiny and runs very well. All gauges works except for the clock. Original rally wheels. Here is what the vette still need to complete. Left side T-Top liner. I only have one. Right side kick panel. I only have one. It will also need new seats covers and a lock knob on both doors. Passenger side seat will also need to be bolted down. I have the battery and storage frams and locks but a new need lid will need to be built or bought. All interior trim are there and is in good conditon. Carpet is new. Wiper works on override mode but won't on the switch. Headlight is good. Turn signal cam could be replaced as the left won't hold in place. As you can tell, there is still some work left on this vette. 95% of it is complete and it is presentable. Can be driven anywhere. There is still some misc work left to do but can be use immediately. The frame is coated with rust free agent and is in good shape. The right and left side fender are flared similar to a 70's vette. It's not out ragious but not orginal. I don't have owner history other than I orginally got the vette on a trade for a Porsche. $21,900. Color codes from the owner. April 15, 2010. |
