| Car history: |
1968 Corvette Roadster Original Big Block Car with Non numbers match motor. Original Black (400) car with only 708 black car made in 68 make this one pretty rare. Same owner since 2008 in very good shape and a very clean presentable car. Big block was installed in 2012 but only has about 1000 miles on it since installed. The motor is a 396 with 427 heads originally from a 68 Chevelle SS. I have all the paperwork and receipts from the rebuild. Transmision is an M21 believed to be the original trans with new clutch and pressure plate. Car comes with 2 tops hard and soft, both hoods seen in pictures (original BB hood and L88 hood on the car presently). Paint is very presentable but does show some patina I tried to show in the pictures. I can send more pics if upon request. Convertible top is original and in amazing shape. Hard top is also in excellent shape. Interior is in beautiful condition including door panals, dash pad and new carpet. Original 15 AG code wheels with Goodyear Eagle GT II. Car has power brakes and power windows (no power stearing). Under carage is as clean as the rest of the car with no rust or corrosion. Here are a few highlights of the car: Real Hooker Headers and side pipes New rear bumpers (I have original ones) Rear valance to fill in exhaust cut outs (I have the original one with cut outs) New Goodyear Eagle GT II tires New Radiator installed with motor New clutch and pressure plate installed with motor New Stearing box installed with motor New Alternator New Edelbrock Carberator New destibutor with electronic egnition (Tach drive) L88 Hood and original BB hood This is a great example of the first year of the Stingray body style. It is a huge hit at all of the cruise nights and a blast to drive. Car has always been garaged and covered in garaged since purchased by me. Connecticut does not require a title for cars of this age so it is being sold with bill of sales and my registration so you can apply for title or register it in your state. This was originally a triple black car (Tuxedo black) paint code 400. 1 of only 708 Tuxedo black Vettes built in 1968. Somewhere along the line it was painted this color. You can not tell the car was ever black except for the paint code on the door pillar. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is J23. April 20, 2016. |
