The old saying goes " It's only Original once ". Since the last year's, you barley hear anyone use that term or actually see it anymore. Corvette that has never been advertised & survived the era from being modifed. A True California 1968 Corvette L68 427/400 3x2 Tri-Power 4 Speed Roadster. All Number's Matching & All Original. Sitting since 1984 in Los Angeles, California. Same original owner since 1968 in'till recently this year, where it was passed over to his daughter. Never to change ownership to any person other then family. It's really rare to see a car left in this sort of condtion, Unrestored and to be correct. History: The original owner purchased this Vette and worked near Beverly Hills,California. He was a physician at UCLA Hospital. It was driven between his wife & himself. Not really a daily driver but driven time to time. In 1984, the car was parked on the side of there home, covered and hasn't been used since. The color combination is International Blue with Black standard interior. Factory Convertible with Hardtop only, no soft top. The body has never been cut up or has ever been in a accident, Remain's original. The seam's and rear wheel well' are clean. The body panel's has not been modifed. Clean & original undercarriage. California Vette with it's original Black & Yellow plate's. The mile's show 88,567. I'm assuming they are original. The interior is bone stock original. It's all there and has not been cut up. Remain's the original wood-grain wheel & am-fm stereo. Correct Chrome Shifter, power window's, console & gauge's. Greatest part of interior is it's all in place. The drivetrain remain's correct, complete & original to the car. Stock air clear cleaner & valve cover's are still in place. Does have power steering. It has not been started or driven since 1984, over 25 year's. The engine is not frozen and can be turned by hand 90 degress. I have not attempted to start it. It will need work to get it back on the road. I have listed all the number's as I have found. 427/400h.p 3x2bbl Engine - Pad Stamping is: T1206 IM 18S406735 - Casting # is: 3916321 - Date On Block is: K147, GM Heads Casting # is: 3917215 Right Head date is: K287 - Left Head date is: L47. GM Aluminum Intake is: 3919850 = Correct Winters Casting, Early 68' 427/400hp Intake. GM Exhaust Manifold is: 3880827 Left side and 3880828 Right side. Rear Axle is: 2AV12 = 3.08:1 Positraction H.D Big Block. Holley Carburetors part # is: Front/Rear 3902353 3659 - Middle Holley is: 3902355 3660. Overall, this is a unrestored & Correct California 68' 427 Tri-Power Roadster. I understand there are more then a handful of restored 427's but how many are left around in this sort of condtion? Keep in mind, this is a unrestored Corvette that does not run. My personal opinion is to get in running gear & keep it in this condtion, as they say "it's only original once". The original Black plate's do go along with the sale as well as a new pair. 88,567 miles from the odometer. Motor suffix code is T1206IM. Colors from the trim plate. Assembly date is E13.
