Car history:
3) Rare LT1 with Factory Air, only 240 built in 1972. One of the last Chrome Bumper Corvettes produced and the Last Factory Air LT1 produced. LT1 350/255 HP engine, 4-speed manual, 3.55 posi rear end, Power steering, Power brakes, Power windows, Tilt/telescopic steering column, Mille Miglia Red with Saddle leather interior, Formerly from the Bob McDorman Collection, Produced July 25, 1972. Sold new by Keystone Motors in Chicago, IL
1972 was the only year in which air conditioning was offered in combination with the Corvette's solid-lifter LT1 350/255 HP engine option, which was still only available with an M21 close ratio 4-speed. One of the last chrome bumper Corvettes produced and the last factory air LT1 built, this 1972 LT1 coupe is one of just 240 built with that combination, in this case backed by a 3.55 Positraction rear end. Produced on July 25, 1972 and sold new by Keystone Motors in Chicago, IL, it was formerly part of the famed Bob McDorman Collection. In addition to its appealing color pairing of Mille Miglia Red with a Saddle leather interior, it is also optioned with power steering and brakes, power windows, tinted glass, tilt/telescopic steering column, AM/FM radio and deluxe wheel covers. BiN $59,900 (Ended) on June 30, 2017.
2) #'s Matching, 4 Speed Manual, Only 240 Produced with Factory A/C. 1972 Corvette Stingray LT1 Coupe. You are viewing a documented and restored 1972 Corvette LT-1 Coupe equipped with Factory Air Conditioning. Only 240 LT-1's were built with factory air conditioning. This particular car has had a frame up restoration from a very original and solid corvette. It's a numbers matching car with the VIN number stamped on the engine. She is dressed in factory Milia Miglia Red with Medium Saddle Leather Interior. This well optioned car is equipped with the high performance, 350Ci LT-1 Engine. This motor has a solid lifter cam and is a strong running car. Additional features include Power Steering, Power Brakes, Rallye Wheels, Deluxe Leather Interior with Wood Trim, Tilt and Telescopic Steering, Power Windows, T-Tops and AM/FM Radio.
There was a lot of attention to detail on this high-end restoration. The paint is laser straight with a stunning finish. The original bumpers have been professionally chrome plated. The interior is fresh and extra clean with genuine leather. All gauges, lights and other electronics appear to be performing properly. This is a very well sorted and nice driving LT-1. And as you may know, 1972 was the last year of the removable rear window which offers a great open air experience. Also, the 1972 LT1 has a unique VIN number with the letter L in the VIN to denote the Engine as a LT-1.
This beautiful Coupe is documented with NCRS Shipping Data Report, the Original Owner's Manual and Original Dealers Brochure. With the LT-1 Performance Package and Factory Air which only 240 produced this year, we know this desirable Corvette is one hot investment. BiN $48,499 but reached $39,990 on March 11, 2017. BiN $42,950 but no longer available on March 20 and 28, 2017. BiN $41,950 but no longer available on March 31, 2017.
1) Formerly in the Bob McDorman Collection
