Fast440 is pleased to offer this highly desirable 1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427/390 Horsepower Big Block Coupe with 460 Ft. Lbs of Torque. The car ran when parked in 1992, and it would not take much to get it to lot drive run again. Brakes work, Transmission shifts and the Clutch will work as it should. Wiring Harness intact and in good condition, so we are confident it will run and drive with minimal effort and your expertise. It depends on your goal; make a driver out of it, or you have found your candidate for a Frame-Off restoration. Extremely well preserved in some areas, and some not. Exceptional no hit body. Extremely well preserved Interior (Carpet Kit and Seat Covers, and you are done). All original Glass Panels in exceptional condition. All Exterior Trim Items are there and in good condition (Bowling Green original and no cheap overeas knock off parts for this restoration). Originallly Forest Green with Saddle Interior, this example is pretty much original with the exception of a Non-Numbers Matching Engine (Date Code Correct and freshly milled Engine Block will go with the car; see pictures below). The negative on the car is a pretty big one. East Coast Rust exists on designated areas after our careful inspection. Repairable for your Driver Quality aspriations or replace for your Frame-Off restoration. Frames can be found easily for $1200.00-$1500.00, or maybe you already have one. Areas on the frame that need repair are where the Center Cross Member meets the Frame Rails. The rest of the frame appears solid, and this includes top frame rails above the Front and Rear Suspension. Getting back to the engine situation, a 1976 454 Motor sits in the Engine Bay. Obviously at some point in the car's life the engine Block replaced, however the 427 parts from the original engine were utilized. From our observations, this includes.....100cc Oval Port L-34/L-35 427 Heads (very rare), "Snowflake" GM Aluminum Intake Manifold, and the Casting Number indicates Oval Port L-34/L-35, 427 Harmonic Balancer observed, Correct 427 Exhaust Manifolds and Carburetor, Muncie M-22 Rock Crusher 4-Speed with straight cut gears (Big Block only). Other things worth mentioning is that we have the original Factory Radio that could go back into the un-cut Console area. Factory T-Top Covers are still there. The Fuel Tank appears to have never been removed, so the new owner might get lucky and find a Tank Sticker. Darn original in terms of a Big Block '69 Corvette, and no doubt in our minds that this is the real deal 427 car. Lot's to work with here. Motor suffix code is T0904LM. Block from 69 vette 1176.
