Car history:
2) Texas title in hand. Good car down sizing. Trade for airplane only. Fly in drive home. Sold for $24,000 on October 1, 2017.
1) The corvettes previous owner had it for over 20 years and had the majority of work done to the car but kept it in his garage under a cover and didn't drive it much. It had not been driven in a few years when I got it. It fired right up with gas and new battery. Previous owner had it shipped at some point and damage occurred under the passenger seat with a hole in fiberglass. Small crack behind tire where it had rubbed. I drove the vette around to get full paint estimates and the body shops looked at the hole and said they would repair it as part of the job and didn't add on anything...so I don't think its a big deal to repair. I spent around $2,500 on the tires, clutch, shocksc. I called the mechanic to ask about the numbers matching questions and he said the block matches the VIN. This is a very strong running corvette that is mechanically sound with modern cold A/C...I'm assuming the previous paint job is over 20 years old, It has not been detailed but you can see the condition in pics and video. I also have chrome louvers with mounting hardware from Corvette Central and owners manual. It is a blast to drive with the top down! 1969 Corvette convertible 350/four speed. Power steering, power brakes and tilt/telescoping steering wheel. I have around $25,000 in receipts from previous owner, Including frame off rebuild and motor rebuild, aluminum radiator with air conditioning added with less then 2000 miles driven. Previous owner had car garage stored for over 20 years and barely driven. I replaced fuel system including gas tank, clutch, brake system, tires, alternator, water pump, shocks, battery and charged the AC. It looks almost brand new from underneath.
It starts right up and has tons of power. I get thumbs up, looks, and comments everywhere I go.
The original color is Cortez silver with black interior. Clean Texas title in hand. The things left to do on the car would be paint and a newer stereo system. There is a 1 inch crack in the fiberglass above the driver side front fender and a hole in the fiberglass under the passenger's seat damaged while it was being shipped. I'm guessing both repairs to be around $250 but I thought it would be done when and if the car gets painted. I've had quotes to repair and paint the car from as low as $2000 and over $11,000. I'm located in Dallas Texas. Sold for $20,900 on May 30, 2016.
