2) 1971 Corvette LT-1 Convertible Rare 4Spd Protect-O-Plate Documents #'s Match. You are looking at a very rare 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LT-1 Convertible. This Corvette was sold new at Longhorn Chevrolet in Texas on July 21,1971 to Ronald Owens. The original title that was issued with this car has still been retained. The car is a fully documented numbers matching LT1 engine and 4-Speed Transmission. This car has excellent documentation from new including the Protect-0-Plate matching all engine numbers up to the car. The car has the original title included. The car has the owwers manual, and other original paperwork. The car also has restoration receipts included. The car has been frestored from the frame up. The underside is detailed and looks great. The car has beautiful paint finished in the Milia Miglia Red. The car has a new interior and convertible top. The wheels are restored and sit on the correct Firestone Wide-0-Oval tires. The motor has been rebuilt as well and has that great LT-1 sound. If you are looking for an LT-1 Convertible this car is not to be missed. The car is a Body on Restoration and painted Mille Miglia red. Car was a War Bonnet yellow new. The car has super nice paint with a numbers matching engine, rear end and transmission. Also has dated Alternator, Intake, Exhausts manifolds. It is a No Hit car and is a convertible. Convertible Top , carpets, seats , exhausts, tires, rings and center caps are all new. Frame is straight and has been detailed. The radio does not work. Clock does work. Mileage may not be correct it is not working. Added is the POP plate and Trim tag which shows paint War Bonnet Yellow and Black interior. The TI Box is attached The finish was taken down to bare glass, prepped, primed and then painted with base coat / clear coat. Have photos that come with the car of the bonding strips before prepping. The front end below the headlamps shows the dimples across the front under the paint meaning no front end damage. The car had a few cracks above the wheel wells noted with photos and the repairs made. Super Nice car. 03/18/2014. 1971 LT1 Corvette convertible that has gone through a body on restoration. Car is has a very clean under carriage. Car was purchased in Wichita Falls Tx and owner now resides in St Louis. Original title comes with the car. Car is Mille Miglia red that is very nice, original color was War Bonnet Yellow. Car runs well with less than 50 miles on rebuild. Mileage may not be correct.
