| 2) Your bidding on a nice clean Driver quality LS5 Corvette. Recent mechanical repairs include brakes, suspension, seals, belts and hoses. Paint is a good 8.5 out of 10 with no cracks or chips. The interior has the original Leather seats with normal wear. Based on what I can tell from crawling under the car it has the original engine and 4 speed transmission BUT UP TO YOU TO VERIFY. I say again this is not a restored trailer queen. $21,200 (RnM) on August 16, 2017. Sold for $25,900 on August 17, 2017. 1)Selling my 1971 Corvette, this is a very cool car, but I need to thin down my fleet to a more manageable number (see more other auctions too). Here is the story on this car, from what I can tell and the history I have the miles showing are the original miles. I bought the car from the 3rd owner and have a lot of history of the car. This car has spent its entire life in sunny dry Arizona until this year when I bought it and brought it to Texas. It is a numbers matching car. Documents include the build sheet, the classified section of the paper from when the second owner bought it in the 80's, service and maintenance records, pictures from paint work that was done, insurance appraisals and everything deemed important. This was a very loaded car for the day, not only equipped with the LS5 big block and 4 speed manual trans, it has leather, power windows, A/C, tilt / telescoping steering wheel, factory alarm, removable rear window and headlamp washers. Options installed shortly after the car was new and are period correct are Hooker chrome side pipes (when these were added, the cut out in the back valance for the exhaust were filled and back up lights added). A Saratoga roof in addition to the factory T-tops. The Saratoga roof is a one piece clear smoked roof that looks like a targa top and can be installed instead of the T-tops. I have never seen one before and will try and add pictures to the listing since I don't keep it with the car. Over the last few years, most everything has been gone through on this car to get it road ready again, shocks, suspension, brakes, hoses, belts, battery A/C was converted to 134a and all of these documents are available. 95,865 miles from the odometer. BiN $36,000. May 5, 2015. BiN $37,000 but reached $24,100 (RnM) on August 19, 2016. $28,231 (RnM) on September 15, 2016. Sold for $22,600 on September 29, 2016. |
