| Nice original California car, 68 Corvette, Lemans blue, medium blue interior, 4 speed, 3:55 posi., power steering, power brakes, am/fm. Never been hit, all original panels, odometer shows 58k, looks to be right, you be the judge. Vin in the block as seen in pictures, also, (IR) code L 71 435 hp 427 clear, and, not re-stamped....vin is also in trans housing... Interior is original, and, not restored, as seen in pictures, dash, door panels, and, pillars have cracks. Carpet has been removed since interior shoot, it smelled to high heaven. Its been cleaned, and, I will re-install before sale, it should get new carpet, its weak at best. Engine turns over, has good oil pressure, and, excellent compression. Carbs will probably have to be rebuilt from sitting, but, all is there. Inside of engine is spotless, nice clean, no bad smells from burnt oil, someone took care of it....4 speed shifter is aftermarket unit, (shifts nice) it's probably why the motor is still original, missed shifts from original shifters at 6500 rpm are a big reason not many of these original engines are around.. Brakes don't work, (its a vette).....lol Frame is mint, no scale or damage, original oil, and, grime underneath, but, nice under carriage. Rubbers in front also seem very nice... Paint is an old lacquer repaint, jambs are original paint. Paint is cracked, faded, chipped, worn out, and, dull. Its an unrestored car, not hiding any sins with primer. As in the above discription, it's missing some parts, exhaust, rocker trim, hoses, fan shroud, fan, fan clutch are the big things...I do have the smog pump and hoses w/ the necc. brackets... Other than a clear calif. pink slip from the 1990's, I don't have any documentation on the car, or, any falsified proof by an outside paid off crook certifying its real...its pretty real when its original to me, you be the judge. Car needs someone that can appreciate the numbers match thing, I personally am not into it, I do know it should be an excellent collector piece when done...(if I finished it, I would definately flog it). Need to sell, don't have time for it....good luck.. Motor pad says T0614IR. 58,857 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is K29. March 13, 2015. |
