| 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Survivor 2 Top Convertible 95 Orig 350 Auto Must See!! This 1969 Corvette Convertible is a time capsule. Loaded with options Corvette. Would have listed @ $5900.00 when new. I have a copy of title when the Corvette was brought into Ky in 1995 with 91117 miles on it. It was traded to a dealer in 1999 in Lexington, Ky in 1999 and the title shows 91400 miles. It SHOWS 92,000 AS OF TODAY. So less than 1000 miles since 1995. We purchased it from an auto shop owner who had rebuilt a few things on the Corvette over the years to make sure it was dependable and safe so he and his wife could drive it. Among those things were rebuilt SS brakes and lines, rebuilt carb, rebuilt air conditioning compressor and added new coolant, new exhaust, new tires, new battery, shocks, and more. Everything seems to work including all vacuum on headlights and cowl piece, lights, all gauges but the clock, engine seems fresh, does not smoke, rides tight for this model of Corvette, horn, air conditioning and heater as well as blower motor, shifts firmly, carb kicks in as it should, and EVEN the Fiber Optics work. See the picture of the center gauge console and at idle you will see all the gauges work except for the clock. This Corvette rides and drives as it did in 1969! I had a few of these C3s and this is the tightest and quietest one I have had. This was originally (per the trim tag) a Daytona Yellow Corvette. We feel it had some type of very minor car accident and was re-painted sometime very early with 1966-1969 Butternut Yellow LACQUER paint job. A professional had it on a lift and no frame damage or rust was seen on the chassis. The front windshield has been replaced, but the side and rear glass on the hardtop are date coded and stamped correctly so they have not been hurt or replaced. It does have some spider-web cracking and various chips and scratches on the body that have been touched up, so it is not Restored Show quality, but most people who are not Corvette enthusiasts think it is restored! It looks really good as a driver or survivor type Corvette. The interior is almost all original I believe with the exception of the floor mats and arm rest pads. Everything is there and working except the clock needs to be rebuilt. It has all original seat belts, the center gauge and emergency brake consoIe are great, power windows work, Am/Fm radio plays, etc. I have just pulled the Hardtop off and inspected the convertible top. The convertible top does NOT appear to be original as I cannot find a date code or stamp on the left rear part of the window, it appears like it was put on and never used. It does have some dirt and dust stains and rear window is blurred but appears nice and it probably can be cleaned better when you buy it, but still looks nice. The engine and engine compartment were cleaned (not detailed as I wanted to leave it as original as I could) and we made sure everything worked as it should. We did we replace the valve covers with a set of 1969 correct L82 valve covers, not the stock orange ones that would have come on it. The orange valve covers that were on it were not the correct year orange valve covers that would have been on the 300 horse motor. If you look at the pics you will see a lot of original parts that probably came on the Corvette. It has correct fuel filters, ignition shielding, some original hoses and brackets, decals, air cleaner, etc. Tires are BF Goodrich Radial TAs in great shape. They are on correct Rally wheels with caps and trim rings. The trim rings and center caps are also probably original since they have some scuffs and dings in them too. I looked at the spare. It is a Firestone Sup-R-Belt G78-15 on a grey rally wheel. All in all, I think this is about as good as a survivor type Corvette as you will find other than the re-paint. It is a Corvette that can and should be DRIVEN in its current state and be enjoyed while driving it or taking it to a car show or cruise. If you correct the paint or detail the Corvette.it will not be original anymore, and I think that is this Corvettes strong point. It is as close to what a 1969 Corvette was back in 1969 after it was driven awhile.and that s the fun part! 1969 Corvette 350-300 Horse Specifications.
