2) This was a 40,000 original mile car that has been resto-moded. This car was stripped down to the frame (which was clean and without rust), then the frame was welded out, front to back for added rigidity. Items installed in this car include: LS7 wet sump, 427 with 469 HP to the wheels, Tremec T56 Magnum 6 speed, Billy Boat headers and side pipes, complete new leather interior, Dakota Digital gauges, RideTech level 2 suspension including new trailing arms, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, Forgeline wheels, Wilwood brakes, Tanks Inc. gas tank and sending unit, flawless paint, 2 inches flares all around, provided installed by Custom Image Corvette, PRC radiator, mechanical headlight mechanism, Vintage Air, New Al Knoch top installed at their factory, New dash pad, New door panels, Retro stereo with amp and rear speaker bar, long hood (no more wiper door!). Car has 704 test miles. I have over $147,000.00 in receipts for this car. Everything is the best I could find. I even trailered it to El Paso, Tx (from northern SD) for the new Al Knoch top to ensure it was installed correctly. This '69 runs great, and drives fantastic with the RideTech suspension! This is a fresh build. The car was just picked up from getting the final touches on 12.5.16. $45,022 (RnM) on December 16, 2016. 1) 1969 Corvette Convertible, restoration in progress. Thousands and thousands in new parts and re-chroming and powder coating. Body has had every possible area that these vehicles with age have issues with professionally addressed. Body is perfect and factory primer has been blocked out...LASER STRIGHT. I considered applying primer and blocking as well as painting this car, but I feel it's better to let someone see exactly what they have now because primer and paint can hide many future issues. Everything is here except carpet, exhoust and windsheild. Some of the new items that are not pictured are: New Al Kotch soft top, new and correct seat covers, rally trim rings, and assembly and restoration manuals. The car has had the full lizard skin treatment done to the entire interior and under the hood. Two coats of sound deadening and two coats of ceramic heat shield. This car was kind of a barn find, found in a motel garage in Kansas where it had sat for many, many years. I have many pictures that can be included of this find. The car only has 40 K miles on it and ran and drove when I got it. This project has been a lot of fun so far, but I now have a new interest, which is kind of a shame since I have over $50K invested in her so far. The car is a numbers matching, with a 350 automatic which is in the car. The suspension and brakes are complete and installed, however the brake pads have been removed so the car rolls easier. The exhaust system was removed and is not included. The front bumper is included but not in the best shape, it should be replaced. The original color is Fathom Green. The bird cage had two small spots of rust smaller than a dime. It was removed and new material welded in, ground even and then multiple coats of POR15. All interior areas to include the bird cage have been coated with multiple coats of POR prior to the Lizard Skin being applyed. The windshield in not installed and not included. The Door glass is perfect. I have found no other rust, but the frame does have some minor and isolated scalling which is easily removed. There may be some small bits not included in this sale that I have overlooked. 40,953 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the owner. Built date is D01. March 19, 2012. |
