Up for auction: 1976 Stingray Corvette. Equipped with 350ci small block 5.7L engine (L-48) and 350 turbo automatic transmission. It is black on black and has less then 65,000 original miles. I have just installed brand new carpet and heat / sound reducing pads, which make the car 100% more pleasant to drive. The interior is in great shape, the drivers seat does show some wear but is not all tore up and the dash does have a couple cracks. All of the glass is in good shape and the power windows work well. The car does need a new paint job, but is a good driver, it looks great going down the road and from about 20'. There are a few small cracks in the body which could easily be repaired. The tires are in good shape. I will throw in a a fiberglass rear bumper cover (80's style with built in spoiler bump) that was on my other 1976 Corvette. This is a good bumper cover because its hard fiberglass so it won't warp like stock bumper covers (these sell new for $500). It does need painted to match. Stock options include: power steering, power brakes, power windows, am/fm stereo radio, a/c and heat (a/c works and blows cold), deluxe interior package with leather seats and stitched interior and t-tops. Aftermarket parts include; drilled and slotted brake rotors (front and back), flowmaster exhaust (true duel with a great low rumble), 336 rear-end gears with posi unit, chrome deep dish wheels with removable spokes, Brand new floor mats with Corvette Logo and tinted back window. I was in the process of putting a lambo door kit on. I installed the driver door kit but decided to wait on the passenger door to figure out if I wanted to keep the kit on or not. The system works by opening the door about 16-18" then if you choose you can lift the door up or just use it like a regular door. It looks great on the car and everyone asks questions about it. It's a direct bolt on kit that is made for C3 Corvettes, not a cheap multi fit, (no cutting or welding required), it has two lift cylinders so door will never slam down if one would happen to fail. I had the hinges powder coated black. I will include the kit with the car if you want it, but I don't have time to install the passenger side. Like I said if you don't like it all you have to do is remove the kit and reinstall the stock hinges. I have about $1,000 in this hinge kit. Everything that isn't stock is all bolt on so you could easily bring the car back to stock if wanted. Other then the few add on's the car is 100% stock besides the paint. The original color was Flame Orange. The headlights operate well as does everything else. This is a turn key car and I would feel comfortable driving it cross country. The weather stripping is ok, I was planning on replacing all of the weather stripping, but wanted to wait till I got the car painted. This car handles extremely well and runs great, I hate to see it go, but I need the money (getting a new addition to the family in June).
