| 1968 Corvette convertible complete running and driving car, needs nothing mechanically. This is a non correct engine that undertook a long restoration process starting with a complete chassis overhaul with all new front suspension components, steering components, the 327 C.I. has had a complete engine rebuild including bored oversized .030 and added a mild performance cam although not too radical as to reduce the vacuum necessary to keep headlights functioning properly. The rear axle assembly was removed and reconditioned also adding new bearing assemblies to both sides. this is a 4 speed transmission that has been rebuilt along with a new clutch and also driveshaft u-joints. I have replaced the gas tank and the fuel sending unit. The complete braking system has been gone thru with new lines, hoses and calipers. I lowered this car by removing leafs on the rear and by cutting 1 round off of the front coils. I installed new original seat covers and the original loop carpet kit. This car has new 2 1/2 factory alumicoated exhaust from the manifolds back. All four shocks were replaced. all of this work was completed between 2003 and 2007 and has been driven less than 2000 miles since completion. The Paint on this car is all PPG base coat /clearcoat and i have all of these colors. These are 20 inch rims with good year tires. Notable items that need to still be done on this car are : the convertible (soft top) needs completely restored, the hard top needs window chrome put on and weastherstrips replaced, needs windshield wiper motor replaced, needs fuel gauge replaced, needs radio, needs antenna installed (Im supplying a new electric antenna), needs parking brake cables installed, needs the door seals installed (I am supplying new ones) needs tachometer cable repaired (The inside cabe end twisted off but it has a new outside cable cover). The paint has 2 small chips, 1 on left side headlight and 1 on rear top edge above left tail light. Other than the custom paint, lowering and the 20 inch wheels and the radio trim bazel. This car has not been modified and still utilizes all original parts. I'm sending numerous extra parts that i have collected for this car and have most of the original parts that i have saved. This car can be stored in a climate controlled building as long as you need until shipping can be arranged. 53,013 miles from the odometer. November 23, 2014. |
