Update Posted 04/11/2017 We put the tri-power back on it, and stock valve covers, took out the spacers so sitting lower in the back now, replaced all the hoses and clamps with correct ones and even got date coded plug wires. Covered over the hideous flowers on the hood with black primer for now, and was able to find a factory early 69 BB hood for it. We are going to paint it back to fathom green one of these days, have only put about 1400 miles on it in the last 6 years. :-) The tank sticker says it came with 3.70:1 rear gears. It does drive at 3,000rpm at 60mph so I do not go on the freeway very often. Ed Posted 07/23/2011 1969 Corvette Coupe 427 CI/400 HP. This is a numbers matching car with 62,000 actual miles. It has had 2 previous owners. Interior is original except for black leather reproduction seat covers. Car was originally a vinyl seat car. Car has been repainted a chocolate brown (was originally Fathom Green #983) and has had one (1) minor hit on the right rear quarter panel that was not repaired correctly. The first owner made several modifications to the car and I have most of the original parts to return to stock: 1.) intake and 3 2bbl carbs were removed and a 4bbl carb installed (have original intake manifold and 3 carbs with air cleaner intact). 2.) hood was modified to acomodate the 4 bbl carb (I have new repro 427 hood). 3.) 2 inch exhaust pipes were changed to 3 inch and porcelean manifolds installed (I have original manifolds) 4.) smaller starter installed to acomodate 3 inch pipes (I have original size starter in box). 5.) rear end changed from 3:08 to 4:10. 6.) car probably has a mild cam installed. 7.) shims installed in rear springs to acomodate larger tires on rear. Chrome is excellent as well as all glass. This car could be easily restored to original and be worth big bucks!
