| Posted 08/23/2024 1971 Corvette Stingray 19400 - LS5. Please do your own research but from my research I found there were only 5097 LS5 Corvettes made in 1971 and less than 3000 were 4 speed manual shifts. Car has power windows, power brakes, power locks, tilt, telescopic, air condition, 4 speed, side pipes, luggage rack, new front carpet, bumpers are nice. Big block originally 454 but has been changed to a 327 small block with double hump heads with a cam, VIN # on motor is K0806CNU. I believe this is a Corvette motor but do research yourself. Solid birdcage and frame. Crager's are older and have some peeling. There is a crack in the windshield and paint has minor spots but overall, in good condition for its age. Previous owner said he could not get wipers to work at end of his ownership, but I have not looked into it. The car needs an A/C pump also. Flares are professionally done and still look great! Maroon Paint. Bought this car from an older gentleman that owned it for many years but was unable to get in and out of it, so he sold to me. If you have always wanted an older Corvette but do not have a lot of money to invest in work, this is the car for you. Runs, drives, shifts as it should. Worth taking a look at. Because car is over 50 years old, it is being sold as is with no warranty. |
