| Car history: |
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL AND VERY WELL MAINTAINED 1969 CORVETTE STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE FOUR SPEED WITH OVER 400 HORSEPOWER! EXTERIOR: The paint is in fair to above average driver condition with s few touch ups. The body is straight and the car appears to have never been in any kind of crippling accident. The front end appears to have never been off of the car. The frame is in nice shape and is solid throughout. The original rally wheels with trim rings and center caps look nice and the BRAND NEW BF Goodrich Radial TA tires set the car off nicely. The wipers and the headlights are functional, the vacuum on the wiper door is sticky but functional. The weatherstrip is either in very nice original condition or it has been replaced because it remains soft to the touch and looks great. The original "Astro-Ventilation" door glass remains in place and beautiful. The soft top is newer and looks the part. The car is optioned with the side vent louvre trim that accent the sharkgills, the only way to do it! The spare tire carrier tub looks great and does not appear to have had any kind of jack put underneath it; the spare remains present with the car. She is a sharp Stingray by any measure! INTERIOR: The interior is in nice original condition. The seat covers look newer and the original door panels are in nice shape with no conspicuous blemishes. The dash also looks nice but the car will need new carpet for optimum appearance. All of the gauges work except for the clock and the speedometer needs a new cable installed. The aftermarket custom auto sound stereo fit into the dash with no modification. The seats do not have their fiberglass back covers. The original seatbelts remain with the interior! The car is a blast to sit in and drive. MECHANICS: If you want horsepower you have come to the right place. We have driven big blocks with less horsepower than this car. With a completly rebuilt 383 C.I. motor this car gets down the road. The original NUMBERS MATCHING motor is included with purchase but must be picked up, if the new owner wants it. The car is a lot of fun to drive and while the motor is not radical she gets going very quickly. The beautiful motor compartment has a newer five row be cool aluminum radiator (the best cooling system on the market) with electric fan, as well as a new radiator core support. The bushings don't look new, but they don't look like they need to be replaced and don't appear to be coming apart. All of the brakes have been redone with stainless steel sleeved calipers, new master cylinder and new brake lines. The exhaust has been replaced, sounds good and looks fine. This car moves down the road at an excellent clip.
