| Car history: |
| 1978 Corvette show car in great condition. I apologize for the pics. I don't have any more. My camera has gone south. I assure you there are no gimmicks here. This car is beautiful with tons of features. It does run great with only 300 miles on the rebuilt and super modified 350. It has a GM 671 supercharger which was gone through during the rebuild and has a new snout and bearings. The bottom end is all Scat including crank and rods. Blower pistons by Keith Black. .550 lift hyd. Summit cam. 194 fuelie heads with TRW intake valves, GM exhaust. Has dual elec. fuel pumps feeding two Carter 625 AFB carbs which have been matched. Inside the plenum are two red neon lights for show. Also in the gills on the side of the car are two blue neon lights also for show. Gauges are all custom including an air/fuel ratio gauge, faze boost mounted on engine as well as a vacuum gauge also mounted on engine. Autometer tach, 160 mph Summit speedo, oil press, fuel, volts and water temp mounted in console center. All lights are working and vacuum operated headlamp doors are functional. Interior is trick also. New neon blue carpeting, dash cap, killer stereo system with three amps. Brand new tires, windshield { the other was scratched } wiper motor and switch { not hooked up}. The seats even light up. I'm telling you this is a trick car and I've received many compliments on it. It definately turns heads and you better not be afraid of attention. You'll get plenty. The not so good would be mileage. About 3 miles per gal. There seems to be a new tranny leak. I have a gasket but, haven't installed. The wiring throughout the car is so so. Everything working but, nothing color coded. I have the factory hanesses bumper to bumper that go with the car as well as extra braided steel hoses and fittings. I have most of the paperwork for the engine parts installed. This is a killer deal for someone that has the money. I've spent four years and hundreds of hours on this car and it has made a few car shows as early as last Sept. Been sitting since cause I don't take it out in the cold, the rain, it has never sat outside my garage overnite so the paint is still in great condition too. Oh yes, it has T tops and a Turbo 400 trans w/ 411 gears in the rear. Since the engine only has 300 miles on it and is not broke in I have not even kicked in the secondaries yet. I have no idea how fast or strong the engine is but, it does sound good. It's super fun and pretty easy to drive once you get used to that blower sticking out of the hood but, this car is definately not legal in some states for highway use. It's fine here in Kansas but, I couldn't get ten feet in CA. There are more goodies to this car. I just can't remember them all. I recommend trailering it home. |
