Car history:
I'm a retired gearhead who restores older Corvettes and formula cars for fun and to supplement my income. While I've sold several race cars on eBay, this is my first Corvette offering. As a Corvette enthusiast, I prepare my cars the way I would want them to be, if I were looking to buy one. I pay attention to details that dealers usually don't, like having an original jack and handle, T-top storage bags, owners manual, and instruction decals in the car. I have just finished a really nice, very original 1972 coupe in Steel Cities Gray with a black interior, per the trim plate. It has an all original 350, 4-speed, 3:36 Positraction powertrain. It's equipped with PS, PB, and factory AC. All parts needing to be rebuilt or restored have had that service. Everything works as it should, including vacuum system and the original clock. The interior is all new including carpet, seat covers, consoles, door panels, quarter trim, dash pad, rear compartments, T-top headliners, and even the mirror and sun visors. The suspension and brakes have been rebuilt, including the parking brake, and all u-joints are new. Original parts include the starter, carburetor, alternator, intake manifold, and exhaust manifolds. All body panels are original. The paint is new as are the bumpers and emblems. New weather stripping and seals have been installed throughout. The previous owner had installed an aftermarket radio with a cassette player. I replaced it with a new Sony radio with CD player and MP3 and installed custom rear speakers.
In short, the car needs nothing to drive and enjoy. A 1972 coupe with AC is the ideal C3 to own. It's the last year for the desirable chrome bumper cars. The compression ratio was lowered to 8.5:1, which means that you can drive anywhere on premium pump gas. No octane boosters needed. You can remove the T-tops and rear window, which store in the back, and have what is essentially a convertible with a fat roll bar. Otherwise, just crank up the AC and cruise in comfort. This is a car that you will be proud to display at a car show or take to any Corvette club event. 76,136 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is H30. May 20, 2015.
