| Car history: |
White ' 71 hit a house. Has very minor frame damage to the front frame horns. See photos. Everything is in front of the crossmember so there is no significant frame damage that can't be easily repaired. New Ecklers front clip with 90% of parts to put it back together. Has factory air, 4-speed, '68 Corvette 327 engine. new tires, exhaust, and brakes about 4 years ago. Good W.VA. title. Could get by with just repainting the front end of the car. Red interior needs some work. Needs new rag top canvas. Car was running and driveable 3 years ago but has not been started since. Drive train is in good condition. Has original radio, shifter, etc.
Added on 09/15/2009: 1971 Corvette A/C roadster. Was in very good condition before the deceased previous owner's grandson decided to drink a 6-pack and go joy riding in it one night several years ago. The car got away from him, while he was exiting a drive-thru restaurant, and he hit the house across the street. The Corvette had sat for several years in a garage prior to the previous owner deciding to get it back on the road. As fate would have it, after he had the work done on it to get it road worthy, he fell asleep with a lit cigarette and burned up in a house fire.
Has very minor damage to the front frame horns ahead of the front crossmember. Easily heated and straightened. More cosmetic than structural. No structural damage to it at all. Have a new Eckler's front clip with new inner fenders.THESE NEED GLASSED ON. Have 90% of the parts required to get her back on the road. Missing one headlight assembly as I had to use it on a ' 70 LT-1 I built about 2 years ago. Your choice of stock hood, big block hood, or after marker 1974 style that eliminates the wiper door.
Has clear W.WV. title. Car is numbers matching except engine which is a 1968 327/300hp. Car is a 4-speed with factory A/C, power steering, power brakes, & tilt wheel. Original radio and shifter. Had new exhaust, brakes, and 60 series radial tires about 5 years ago shortly before the death of the previous owner. Paint and chrome are very good. You could probably get by with just repainting the front clip to match the rest of the car and buff out the remaining paint. Interior could be cleaned up for a driver but will need new carpet. Original convertible top is on the frame but in bad condition and will need replaced. Drivetrain is fine. Drove it around the block when I got it to be sure there were no strange noises, etc. in the drivetrain. Clutch was fine . Hasn't been started or moved in over 3 years but is in a clean dry garage. Engine is good and tight with no smoke or noises. FRAME IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE!!! Some scale but no rot through. NO HARDTOP!!! One top only
This would be a great , easy, project for anyone that has the ability to put her back together and can to the glass work and paint. Should be a high dollar car completed. Health issues and retirement relocation within the next year forces the sale. Just don't have the time to fix her. Been building Corvettes for 45 years as a hobby. Time to hang'er up.
