Here is a chance to purchase a piece of history, a restored 1979 Corvette with about 450hp. It has T-Tops, the original Muncie 4-speed transmission (very rare), A\C, P\S, P\B, P\W, and the original interior. There is almost 20k invested in the restoration and must sacrifice at a much lower price. My loss is somebody’s gain. This is not a numbers matching car and never intended to restore the original performance. I intended to create an old school muscle car. The odometer on the car says 72k but the rest of the car (engine, tires, paint, drive-train, etc) only has about 1,500 miles. The car drives real nice, runs great, and sounds great too. The car has new torch red paint as well as the new tires and rims. I hate to sell but want to start another project.
The engine has an estimated 450hp. We started with a brand new GM Performance ZZ4 350 crate engine which has 355hp out of the box. The block comes with forged steel internals making 10 to 1 compression and a nice set of Vortec aluminum heads. We then installed all new Comp Cam valve train components (CL12-601-8). This included a Comp Cam Mutha Thumper hydraulic roller, 1.3 roller rockers, a new set of matching lifters, and a double-roller timing chain.
The drive-train has been professionally redone. Everything was either rebuilt or purchased new. The car has the original Muncie 4- Speed that was completely rebuilt by a transmission shop. A new Centerforce clutch and flywheel was installed as well as Hurst shifter with competition shift kit. The rear end was completely rebuilt using new bearings as well as a new suspension bolt and bushing kit. New gas adjust shocks were installed as well as heavy duty adjustable strut rods. A front and rear sway bar was also installed.
Other modifications include: MSD Ignition box, plug wires, and coil configured for the best power curve. Also, brand new Silver tip racing spark plugs were installed for maximum performance. Be Cool Coolant Package - included direct fit radiator, cap, brackets, dual electric fans, and 195 degree temp sensor. The sensor is installed in the head for accurate measurements. A new thermostat, chrome upper radiator hose was installed and lower hose was also replaced. New Holly 670 Street Avenger with electric choke. New Electric Water pump New Wierd Street Warrior Dual Plane air gap intake manifold. Billet tall valve covers with the corvette logo. Also have matching air cleaner. Currently, there is a Moroso racing, old school looking air cleaner is installed. New Chrome 150 watt alternator and belts. A\C and heater work but is currently disconnected. (I normally cruse with the T-Tops off) New power steering valve and hoses were installed. New breaks and hoses all the way around Long tube headers, with custom true dual exhaust with H pipe and new 40 series mufflers. New Original Leather wrapped steering wheel with horn button
The interior of the car needs to be redone - it is currently all original. All of the hard stuff is done (engine, body, paint, drive train, etc) and the new owner can customize, personalize the interior.
NO joy rides, NO tire kickers, NO ridiculous offers. Please, don’t waste my time or yours!
