| This is a killer 1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427/390HP, 4 speed Stingray that has had nearly $20,000 invested in the mechanical restoration alone. No corner were cut. All the work was professionally done and I have receipts for all the restoration work. Power steering, power brakes, AM/FM, leather, T-tops, removable back window. The non-matching # 427 c.i. big block Chevy has been completely gone through and, frankly, is a monster. The carburetor was re-done. It runs very, very strong and sounds like a big block Corvette should thanks to the new correct style exhaust. The 4 speed manual transmission has been rebuilt, new clutch, and the flywheel re-surfaced. The rear end has been done as well. That is just the start. Everything on the brakes is new. Calipers, rotors, brake lines, booster, master cylinder are all new. All new suspension, bushings, u-joints, ball joints, shocks, springs, control arms, steering components. The car runs and drives very well. It would be a great driver like it sits or is ready for the cosmetic restoration that it certainly deserves. The body is excellent and I do not think it has ever been hit. The correct 980 code Riverside Gold paint is older and faded in some spots. It would be awesome with a quality re-paint. It is a California car and the frame is excellent. It is very solid and rust free. The wiper door is not working and was taken off to replace the vacuum lines. Most of it was completed but it still needs a couple more hoses before re-installing it. The 402 code black leather interior is decent. It looks fine for a driver, but if you were to do a cosmetic resto, I would want to re-do it too. It still has the factory steering wheel and original AM/FM radio. Raised white letter tires on Corvette Rally wheels. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is E03. February 12, 2010. |
