I have taken it on long trips and it is very reliable. I spent more than 8 months searching for the right '69 Corvette and I bought this one on 10/24/07 after selling my '69 Chevelle at the 2007 Hershey Fall Meet. The former owner of this car was in his mid-seventies and had been collecting Corvettes for decades. When I went to see this car he showed me a photo album of cars he had owned over the years many of which received Top Flite status. He and his wife were moving into a 55 and older development and this car and 3 others had to go because there was no room for them at his new residence. The cars that I've owned over the years have been of the highest quality because I am extremely particular. This car is no exception. It is numbers matching and is stunning. When I bought this car the odometer read 78,627. It now reads 78,794. I've only driven this car about 6 times since I purchased it although I did parade it down the Ocean City, New Jersey Boardwalk on 6/27/09 as part of a local car show. It is not concourse but is much more than a "10 footer". Myself and the prior owner have always kept the car in a climate controlled garage. Below I've included a list of all of the things that were done to the car by the prior owner. Also, the Numbers & Codes are as follows: Build date N23, Actual build date 9/25/69, Paint code 976 (LeMans Blue), Trim code: 411, Engine Casting broadcast code 397 101, Engine casting date (H 19 9) = 8/19/69, Engine stamping broadcast code VU 822 HW, Engine stamping date 8 22 = 8/22, Engine serial number 19S730406.
