Car history:
Up for sale is a very nice 1979 white Corvette with 44,000 original miles. I am the third owner (the second was my brother). It was repainted in 1987, and has been garaged kept in a non-smoking home. It has new red leather interior and carpeting, new radio/CD player and power antenna with CB capability, new pop-in tint in the rear window, and the A/C is cold. The engine has had minor modifications and upgrades to include slightly over stock camshaft, new lifters, double-roller timing chain, water pump, fuel pump, intake manifold and carburetor. The orginal exhaust was replaced with an after-market exhaust. It is slightly louder than stock even with OEM-type mufflers and runs strong. It has new brakes with SS-sleeved calipers and new rotors, and new shocks. The transmission was replaced with a 700R4 from Bowtie Overdrives. The rear is original. Front end has been rebuilt (ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, etc.). The power steeting pump and cylinder valve assembly have been replaced. The car has new tires. The lucky new owners will also receive the orginal 350 turbo transmission with transmission crossmember, and the orginal AM/FM CB radio. A very fun car to drive.
