1) This is a matching number 1971 Corvette Convertible project car. It has its original 350/270hp engine and original matching number 4-spd transmission. The engine does run and it will sit there and idle, but the car was stored a long time and it seems to pop through the carb if you rev up the throttle. It needs a good tune up, but it could also be a sticking valve. It will go into gear and move under its own power, but you can't drive the car because it has no brakes. The body is real nice with its original nose and nice door lines. The Sunflower yellow paint (code 912) could be original or at the most it has had one repaint. The frame has surface rust, but no rot that I have seen. The interior is weak. The headlights do not work and the convertible top frame has a rusty front bow. I believe I have the taillights. This is a restoration project and it could make a nice car for some enterprising person. I just don't have the time to take it any further at this time. When is the last time you saw a matching number 4-spd convertible with a nice body for this of money. Sold for $10,900 on May 22, 2017.
