1969 Corvette All Numbers Matching, with 49,900 ORIGINAL MILES. 350 V-8, 4-Speed. The previous owner was a Collector of Rare Vehicles. This gentleman passed away and the collection was being sold by his Widow. This is an exceptional corvette. The few times that I have actually had the car out, I have had people that want to talk about it and have even had people ask if they could have their picture taken with it. I bought this car a year ago. The car is completely original, with the exception of the following. It has been painted once in the original color. The Convertible top had been replaced. I have replaced the following: The cam and Timing Chain, Intake and carburator, Plugs, Wires & Distributor. When I purchased the car, it had a slight vibration in the front end from the existing tires and the carburator was not working properly. The tires looked new. When I took the car down to have them balanced, I found out that they were manufactured in 1993. So obviously, the car had very few miles on it for a couple of decades. I replaced the tires with Goodyear Radial T/A, P225/70R15 tires. I bought a new Rochester Quadrajet carburator. Unfortunately, when installed, it also had a problem. Rather than trying again, I replaced the Intake Manifold and Crabuerator with an Edelbrock Dual Plane Aluminum High Rise manifold and a Holley 600 CFM carbuerator. Also, when I bought the car, the cam had already been replaced. Not knowing what cam was in the car, I had it replaced with a Howard Hydraulic Flat Tappet, 284 Duration, 470 Lift cam. I have all the original parts that I had replaced on the car (Rochester Carbuerator, Original Intake Manifold and the cam that came in the car when I bought it. The car runs and sound great! It has the original Chevrolet Corvette side pipes. I had the car professionaly inspected and appraised before I bought it. It appraised at $43,200.00. I have the Inspection and Appraisal available to see for serious bidders only. 49,843 miles from hte odometer. February 7, 2012. |
