1968 Chevrolet Corvette For sale. Is an original numbers matching 327 engine and 4 speed transmission investment grade Chevrolet Corvette. The car recently went though a complete body off nut and bolt restoration. Every component of the car was removed and then restored or replaced. The engine was disassembled and cleaned. The pistons, connecting rods, camshaft crankshaft, bearings and journals were checked. Hardened seats were installed in the heads with new valves and springs. All new gaskets and freeze plugs were installed. We shot this short video of the engine running on the chassis…. The clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing were replaced and flywheel was resurfaced. The brake system was completely replaced with OEM parts including new brake lines, new master cylinder, new pistons, new rotors, and new parking brake hardware. The entire brake system is brand new The fuel system was replaced with a new tank, sender, and fuel lines again using only high quality OEM parts The suspension was completely replaced with new upper and lower a-arms. The rear trailing arms were removed and disassembled and restored using high quality OEM parts. The mono spring was replaced with a factory leaf. Every bushing, bearing, ball joint and seal was replaced. The exhaust system was completely restored; the exhaust manifolds are original to the car. The glass was replaced with new date coded Astro ventilation logo glass. The front and rear bumpers were replaced show quality pieces; the original moldings were straightened and polished. The interior has been completely restored. New carpet, door panels, sail panels, kick panels, weather striping and center console. All the gauges were restored and work perfectly. The original radio even works! The engine compartment is highly detailed; the wiring was refurbished and replaced where necessary. The senders, alternator voltage regulator, starter relay were all replaced. The headlights open and close as they should. All the vacuum lines we replaced with color-coded hoses as they came from the factory. Thousands of hours were spent passionately restoring this beautiful matching numbers Vette. Once again this car received a body off, nut and bolt restoration and it will give you years of driving pleasure!! Thanks for looking.
