| Car history: |
This is a very original Corvette! I purchased this vette at a car show in Iola Wisconsin in 2001. I was the fourth owner. Since I purchased the vehicle it has been stored in heated garages. This car is currently located in Boise, Idaho. Interior: No rip or tear in seats. All gauges work with the exception of the clock. Weather stripping is in good condition. Exterior: Original paint and is still shiny. Some chips can be found on the body. The hood shows some stress cracks through the paint and in one area the paint is chipping. T-top corners are chipped (original t-top bags are included). All chrome is in very good condition with no pitting. All glass in original with no chips or cracks. Fit and finish is very good. Head lights open and close as well as wiper cover. All lights work. This car was never in an accident. Engine: Original 200 hp base engine that still has all of the ingnition sheilding with the exception of one spark plug cover. A prior owner had swapped out the standard valve covers for aluminum Corvette covers. The engine does blow a small amount of smoke when first started until it reaches operatiing temperature. Transmission: Original 4 speed transmission that shifts smoothly. Clutch is also original and engages smoothly with not chatter or slippage. Exhaust: Original exhaust. Mufflers show some rust but otherwise leak free. Tires: Original rallye rims and tires. Brakes: This car does need a brake job. There are not brakes and driver's side front caliper leaks. Again this car is all original and could easily qualify for a Bloomington survivor standing. 77,766 miles. July 9, 2009. |
