| 1969 Chevy Corvette, number matching 350 hp/350 ci V8, 4 speed, No hit body, has older repaint, frame and birdcage perfect, always garaged, same owner from new until 2012. Original side pipe car, Modifications when nearly new represen how these Vettes actually looked in the day. Had the car inspected by a Corvette expert, his opinion is the flares were a dealer installed option (Webmaster: ???) when the car was new and is very impressed how well they were done and have held up. Other period mods are Cragar SS type Superior Mag wheels with white lettered radials, Edlebrock Street Master intake manifold, Holley carb and Accell dual point distributor. Hooker side pipes are new but the car is a original side pipe car as identified by the rear valance with out exhaust cut outs. Smog equipment and ignition shields are long gone. Engine has been rebuilt recently, also new clutch, all new brakes including calipers and hoses and cables. New hydraulics for power steering, new bushings in suspension plus rebuilt trailing arms. Interior is original and seat covers are split, there is an aftermarket stereo and a newer steering wheel. T-tops and removable rear window glass, This is my personal car and I love the way it looks and sounds, very aggressive, has American Thunder inserts in the side pipes as they are the best balance between sound and performance. I have lost my storage facility and am trying to sell 4 of my 6 classic cars. This car is turn key and runs ans drive well. It is not perfect but it always gets plenty of attention and I am proud to own it. Paint is dull most areas and the driver door and rear quarter have a different shine. There is a crack in the right front valance area that has been repaired, the headlights work but can be lazy same with the wiper door. Simply a rock solid, numbers matching, mean looking and sounding Vette. November 9, 2015. |
