2) This car is now in the netherlands and in the restauration process. February 15, 2013. 1) Solid 1977 4-Speed Manual L-82 Chevy Corvette with T-tops. I've had this car for about 5 years and put a lot of work into it. It's been sitting garaged for about a year now. The engine was replaced with a rebuilt Corvette 350 about 2 weeks after I got it, I think that was around 50,000 miles, and has worked great ever since. The interior is about 90 per cent redone with a few odds and ends still left, like the seats. There's new dash panels, interior trim, carpet and cargo doors. I've got new seat covers and backs and a new steering wheel that I was planning to put into it that I'll include if you want them. I installed a Sony Xplode stereo head unit along with 4 Xplode speakers that sound really good. Around 2 1/2 years ago had a bunch of major work done including rebuilding the carb; completely new front and rear suspension and replacing the master cylinder, calipers, rotors, and pads on the breaks. It also has new tires, about 1,000miles on them. There are some minor issues with the car. Cosmetically speaking you can see the paint damage in the photos, and the rust on the luggage rack. Mechanically, there is a small exhaust leak on the passenger side manifold, the speedometer has been sticking every now and then, and when I started it up last week to drive it around the brake light came on. Don't know what caused that but the brakes were working fine. The car is really solid mechanically and drives well. I'd really like to finish fixing it up all the way but I just don't have the time or money right now. Pretty much all of the major repairs have already been done on it, it just needs the odds and ends fixed and a new paint job and it could be a great daily driver. I had the car appraised by classic auto appraisal and they quoted $12,000.00 in its current condition. 88,701 miles. June 27, 2010. |
