| I am selling my 1972 Corvette Convertible Stingray. It's a beautiful example of a well optioned, chrome bumper Corvette in great condition, inside and out. A Convertible with Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, and AC makes it rare and full of factory options. Runs and drives great and it has always been garage kept, properly maintained, and well looked after. The Ontario Orange paint shines like new, with minimal imperfections from use. The white convertible top is in great shape and goes up and down and locks in place with ease, but I rarely ever keep it closed because the car hasn't seen rain since the early 1980's. The black interior is very nice as well with very minimal wear. There are no rips or tears in the seats or carpet and the dashboard and console are in great shape. There is a small tear in driver's door panel that can be seen in the pics. The radio and gauge cluster is in good working order, as are all the gauges. All the lights are in good working order and yes, the headlights go up and down properly and evenly every time. The car is equipped with factory Air Conditioning, although I have never used it because I always have the top down. All the chrome and other trim is in great shape as well. The underside is in just as good shape as the rest of the car. Solid frame and floors, no rust or rust repair even in the typical areas. The engine in the car is a ZZ3 GM Crate Motor with aluminum heads; turn-key, reliable, and only has about 3,000 miles on it. The exhaust is new, and I haven't had a chance to install the correct tips (but they do come with the car). The transmission is the original Turbo Hydramatic 3 speed auto. Included with the car is the ORIGINAL, NUMBERS MATCHING 350 V8 and Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor making it an original numbers matching car! Overall, it's a beautiful Corvette Stingray Convertible in great condition with a good set of factory options. Not a perfect 100 point show or museum car, but definitely something you can drop the top in and drive to your local car show and bring home a trophy! Sold for $20,000 on August 21, 2016. |
