This 'Vette still retains its correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL drivers side door piller mounted factory Chevrolet trim plate which is shown in a picture below. I drove this Beauty for the last several days as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove GREAT. I was very impressed how well the car handles and how smooth and POWERFULL it is ! You talk about a KICK to drive, UNBELIEVABLE !! I am 6' 2 tall and was surprised how comfortable this car was ! This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho high mountain desert western vehicle. At the heart of this Corvette is a - GROUND POUNDING - 427 CID BIG BLOCK V8 Motor that is running VERY well indeed. According to the previous owener and our follow up research on the interenet the engine is coded as CE869748, an early 1969 Tonowanda made Chevrolet 427 however, we cannot verify it is the original motor. The block has a HIPERF PASS (High Performance Passenger) stamp / casting shown in a picture below. This 427 is also equipped with an ORIGINAL RARE - Code 3947801 - Corvette Only - Aluminum 4 Barrel Intake Manifold, ORIGINAL Exhaust Manifolds, Original Style chrome valve covers, Original Style chrome air cleaner housing and a Holley Double Pump 4 barrel carb with electric choke. This 'Vette sounds AWESOME too with a Throaty true-dual Flo-Pro exhaust system with dual chrome tips. Nothing sounds better than the rumble of a GM big block with the right exhaust system !! The L-36 427 Big Block was rated at 390 Horsepower and 460 lb/ft. of torque and this Corvette feels like it has a little more power than that. The SMOOTH - BULLETPROOF - Muncie 4 Speed transmission also functions very well. Trust me, this 'Vette will throw you back in your seat in all four gears. If you like attention then this is the car for you. This Corvette is no Trailer Queen. The previous owner said he drove it to all the shows and has enjoyed the car very much !! The CORRECT - MOSTLY ORIGINAL - Code ZQ4 - Black Vinyl interior is in NICE condition including NICE ORIGINAL Black Vinyl bucket seats with factory headrests, NICE ORIGINAL Black Vinyl center console, VERY NICE Matching Black Vinyl door panels, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black Vinyl dash pad with NO CRACKS, NICE ORIGINAL Black dash, VERY NICE ORIGINAL factory gauge clusters including a 160 MPH speedometer and factory tachometer, VERY NICE Crovette steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black vinyl sun visors and NICE Black carpeting. It is nicely equipped including factory POWER four wheel disc brakes, factory removeable t-tops, factory removeable rear window, factory power wipers, good heater and defroster, factory chrome driver's side view mirror, factory chrome luggage rack, factory back up lights, original day / night rear view mirror, original Delco AM / FM radio which is no longer working, factory trip odometer, factory passenger side map pockets, factory pop-up headlights and factory gauge clusters including a 160 mph speedometer and a factory tachometer. There is also a 2 inch vertical crack in the windshield down below the wiper door that has been professionally sealed so it won't get larger and is not in the line of vision. The windshield wipers were working but when I took the car out for pictures they would not come on so I'm not sure what happened there. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are clear, bright UNCRACKED and BEAUTIFUL !! All of the rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple and in good condition. The overall cosmetic impression of this car is AWESOME ! The correct - Code 974 - Monza Red exterior paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL showing little to no wear other than a few very small chips and is still bright, shiny and looks STUNNING. The ORIGINAL Chrome and Stainless Steel exterior body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition including good ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers and VERY NICE ORIGINAL badging.
