| Car history: |
Here is one heck of a nice restoration project. This is an original 69 Corvette, 350 V-8, 350 HP, 4 spd, Posi, T-Top, Solid, Never Hit or Repaired. It is a numbers matching car.The block is stamped with the correct vin number as well as the trans. This car was restored and drivin a short time and then sold. The new owner decided to restore the car further and return it to it's original color of Fathom Green. The only parts of the drive train that do not match are the intake, carb and distributor. I am in the process of finding matching parts. The car was taken apart correctly as if you were going to do it yourself if you are serious about doing the car. Everything is labeled and marked. Every nut and bolt is in it's own container. All hoses are marked where they go and how they attach to each other. It is amazing the amount of time he took taking it apart and marking everything correctly. To make it an easy restoration. The pictures are how the car looks now. The motor is standard bore. You can see that the heads were done. The trans was rebuilt as was the rear. It is a 411 Posi. You can see it in the pictures. The crank has been turned 10 10 and is fresh. It is a 4 bolt block with the correct stamping for a 350/350. The body of the car is perfect. Never been hit or had fiberglass repair. All of the bonding strips are where they should be and not comming apart. Bumpers are nice street chrome. This car was garage kept it's whole life. It has a new rear leaf spring. The trailing arms have been rebuilt and all new parking brake parts put in. The Parking brake is still attached. The dash and gauges are beautiful. You do not have to rebuild those. The seats have been rebuilt and recovered. The rear compartment has been redone. New carpet for the car. The door panels are very nice only one small part on the passanger door bottom you can see in the pictures. It has a rebuilt tilt and tele steering column with a very nice black sport wheel. It has the original Harrison overflow tank. Front end has all been rebuilt, new KYB shocks, new coil springs, all new wheel bearings and races up front. New rear lower shock mounts, Polyurethane Trailing arm bushings, new rear spring bolts and polyurethane cushions, Polygraphite trans mount, all new OE U Joints with U bolts and straps, Polyurethane Differential Carrier Bushings, Crossmember cushions, Rear spring locating kit. Tie rods and ball joints, Idler arm, Upper and Lower control arm shafts. All new OE brake rotors, pads, brake hoses and lines, All new tunnel and floor Insulation. All new poly body bushings, Hooker side mount Headers and side pipes with mufflers, never installed on car. Headlight actuator. The headlight buckets are all together and working order. Hood release cable with handle and bracket. Door/window track lift arm rebuild kit, windows are in the car and working, horn contact kit, door handle spring kits. The car does not have a windshield and as usual it does need some windshield post repair. As you can see in the pictures it is minor and an easy fix. The rust did not go through the post only surface rust that he cut out. I have the original vin tag and rivets. The door trim tag is in place and the numbers describe the car as Fathom Green with Tan interrior. The car was painted yellow before. Enamel. The T-Tops are perfect and in beautiful shape. The dash pad is nice no rips or tears or rot. The pop out back window is very nice. The original 461 bellhousing is there with a new clutch and pressure plate. The flywheel is original to the car and dated correctly. Drive shaft has been rebuilt. The car is 4 bolts away from a frame off and an easy resto. The hardest and most aggravting part of a restoration has been done and done right. Nothing to hide here. No guessing if the block is standard bore, no wondering what you will find when you take that off or if you can get it off. Great car to do. NO power steering or brakes. Car was made to go fast and drive right. Even the rally wheels are marked front right or left and rear left and right. Trim rings and centers on 8 inch rallys. Steering box has been gone through. Must be some things that I have forgotten. The car is in Gibbstown New Jersey 08027. My number is 856-371-6476, Dave, if you have questions. I can help deliver. This is a great resto project. Don't miss it. Call and make an offer. After seeing what some of the 69's are selling for these days on and off of ebay. I don't think that it should last too long, but that is to be seen. 69 was a great year for the Vette. Just came back from GM Carlisle and this car has one of the nicest Vette bodies out there. Thanks for looking. Just got it out of the garage and on the trailor. You can see how nice it really is now. Original rebuilt rear is in the car now.You can see it in the pictures.
