Selling this great big block Chevy Corvette Stingray. Runs well, drives straight, sounds fantastic! I've always wanted a notchback Stingray with side pipes, and this is a numbers matching big block (webmaster: ???) 427ci /7.0L specimen in a beautiful dark red with metal flake. The paint does show some sun damage on the top because it was left outside for a few years while a previous owner had health issues. That said, it's been well-polished and always turns heads and gets huge grins and thumbs-up whenever I drive it! The side pipes sound great, and couple them with the wide tires in the back with the raised white letters and an aggressive leaning forward stance and this is the classic car you want to drive. It never fails to bring a smile from ear to ear. I don't want to sell it, but need the money for home construction. Please take this car and finish restoring it the way it should be. While it can already be used as a daily driver (I drive it to work whenever the weather is nice), I'm hoping the buyer will finish up the restoration and make this car really sparkle. 427ci (7.0L) 390 HP, 460 lbs-ft torque 10.25:1 compression Matching numbers engine Freshly rebuilt Turbo TH400 automatic transmission Original Astro Ventilation windows Hooker (or Hooker style) side pipes Mickey Thompson M/T valve covers 80's Corvette radio with AM/FM Stereo Cassette and automatic antenna Cragar Rims Low mileage BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires with raised white letters P235/60R15 tires in the front, and wide P295/50R15 tires in the back New parts: Edelbrock Performer Carburetor CRT Performance HEI high output distributor and coil 20 gallon fuel tank Fuel sending unit Fuel pump All brake calipers from SSBC All brake rotors Brake master cylinder Battery All gauges work except the clock. Speedometer and tachometer work, but odometer doesn't. Headlights work, but need alignment. Wipers and wiper door do not work. I was going to install a wiper door eliminator hood instead. This was never an issue because why would anyone drive a classic Corvette in the rain? This is a great car, and I'm sorry to see it go. I'm sure it'll make the new owner very happy! Sold for $17,500. November 4, 2015. |
