This is the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag pictured below. We believe that this Corvette is an original L46 350ci 350hp model. Details such as the 6,000 rpm redline tachometer, Muncie M21 4-Speed close ratio manual transmission, finned aluminum valve covers, and obviously the 350hp plaque on the console are all correct for an L46 Corvette. The market on Chrome Bumper Corvettes is red hot right now. While this Corvette is not completely numbers matching, is does feature a 3970010 engine block, which was the block used on L46 Corvettes in 1969. The M21 4-Speed close ratio transmission is correct and original to the car with the last six digits of the VIN, 724007 stamped on the main case and pictured below. Also stamped on the main case and picoted below is the date code for the transmission, P9H16B. The P is the prefix, 4-Speed Muncie. The 9 is the last digit of the model year, 1969. The H is the month of production, June, and the 16 is the day of the month. The B is suffix letter that identifies the gear ratio, 2.20:1 close ratio.
