2) This burgundy 69 Vette convertible is in nice condition. It has a matching hard top and white soft convertible top. Powered by 350CI/300HP with the block numbers matching the VIN. There is a chrome deflector shield around the distributor which is very rare to find. The exterior is very nice with minimal rock chips. There are no stress cracks on the body. Door gaps and body lines are perfect. It has a solid rust-free frame, in need of nothing. It has the rare burgundy color code 988 with only 1,169 of 38,762 produced in 1969. The interior has black leather seats and carpeting with Corvette mats, original AM/FM slide radio; all gauges and clock work, including the fiber-optic lights. It rides on the original Corvette wheels. It has been fully documented since new. $18,865 (RnM) on February 12, 2017. 1) I bought this car about 8 years ago from a person in upper Wisconsin who restored Corvettes. This is a very nice automobile. It is a Small Block, three speed Automatic transmission, I was told numbers all match. Car is Burgandy with a white soft top. It also comes with a Black soft top that I never had out of the box, it also has a hard top but when it was restored it was not completed, needs to be finished, there is a can of paint I got with it, its old but there is some in the can. The car is as close to original as you can get. The interior is a 9 and looks very good. It has black leather seats and black carpeting and Corvette mats. It has the original Chevrolet am/fm slide radio. The car has original Corvette wheels that are in perfect condition. Tires are in very good condition. The car even has the original chrome deflector shield around the distributor which is very rare to find. I just put a new Interstate battery in it this week. The exterior is in very nice condition and again rated a 9. The chrome is all good, there are some small rough spots on the rear chrome bumper and a small area of surface rust under the right rear bumper. There is a 1/8 stone chip in the left headlight cover. Since I bought this vehicle it has been stored in a climate controlled building year round. The odometer shows 10,287 miles on it but I believe this is 110,287 miles. The motor had 8,000 miles on it since it was rebuilt before I bought it. It sounds fantastic for a small block. It has 2 exhaust pipes on it so it does sound a little throaty. I don't think I put 200 miles on it since I owned it. The issues are few on this car. I just haven't had time to get to them. I was told there was something funky with the wipers, but I never tried them and the car has never seen rain since I owned it. I just took it out of storage today and the brakes seem soft, maybe they just need to be bled. Also I noticed when I was driving it home the oil pressure gauge was not working, but there is oil pressure. The original quadrajet carb does need a new choke on it. I do have all the paperwork and original manuals, and every maintenance receipt since it was new. It does show a receipt for repair to a quarter panel years ago. The paint job is very shiney and all the chrome is very good. I bought this as a display and show car at local car shows. I need to sell it in order to get a hobby shop. I hate doing this but something has to go. 110,287 miles. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is O13. Motor suffix code is V1002HZ. September 15, 2011. |
