Car history:
Blue on Blue Great color scheme. 350 small block, strong runner, 4 Speed manual transmission. This car had a mild restoration of engine and body work with fresh paint done in 1998 or 1999 I have pics and receipts of the work that was done. I only have the one top, rag top, color white. It also has new rubber moldings that have been oiled to keep them from dry rotting.
The interior: The car is equipped with Am/Fm original radio. It has crank (manual) windows. There is quite a bit of the original interior parts left-door panels, a pillars they do have small hair line cracks. The dash pad is in great condition with no blemishes. Astro Vent with original glass. Has original 160mph gauge and 70 RPM Tack. The original sticker is on the console: 300 horsepower, 380 Torque, 350 Cubic Inch, 10.25:1 Compression.
The Motor: It’s a 350 with block casting #379 for the last three numbers, not known if this is a number matching car. It has a aluminum Weiland Intake, and 4 barrel Holley carb. Also it has an Accel Distributor. It has the original drop down rams horn exhaust manifolds, with true dual exhaust. The motor does leak a little oil, which appears to be a rear main seal leak which is a cheap repair. I haven’t had a chance this year to get it to the garage yet this year, just pulled it out of storage.
The transmission: Muncie 4 speed manual, unknown ratio. The casting number is 2184381. The tranny shifts smooth and doesn’t lock in any gears. The wheels are 15 inch Rallys the tires have good tread at all four corners. It has front disc breaks and does leak a little fluid here and there, believed to be a leaky caliper.
This car still has the Posi Rear end unknown gears. Both headlights flip and work great it has the original taillights. The car has no wiring problems and starts right up and runs out strong. The body has some minor paint blemishes and small heat cracks on the hood. Also a few minor rock chips here and there, remember, paint job is 10 years old. There is no hood insulation pad installed currently but available from aftermarket parts providers. The trim tag is MO4, Trim 411 Blue,
Paint 976 Le mans Blue Metallic. It also came with a luggage rack I had them fill in the mounting holes for a slicker look. Car has all the chrome on it. I also have some extra parts.
Couple things not working or unhooked as follows: Tach - unhooked, Oil pressure gauge - doesn't work (think there is an air bubble in line), Analog Clock - Doesn't work, don't know why. I have owned this car for 10 plus years, always garaged inside year round and always covered. This VETTE is a real head turner. It has the old car look with the old car horsepower and feel. It has power steering and power disc brakes. Wipers work, headlights work and go up/down. 79,531 miles from the odometer. May 28, 2009.
