| 07/15/2014 1972 numbers-matching 454 Corvette that presents nicely and can be driven and enjoyed for a fraction of the cost of a NCRS TOP FLIGHT or BLOOMINGTON GOLD car. Quite frankly - this is a solid driver thats ready to drive home today for less than the price of it's 1999 body off frame restoration. Nicely equipped with 454 w/auto, leather, power brakes, power steering, tilt / telescopic wheel. The car has been driven regularly, serviced and well-maintained. Still presents an extremely glossy shine with some imperfections that I have tried to show in the photos. A tasteful black hood stripe was added and surrounds the big block bulge and 454 emblems. Original stainless windshield trim has been well maintained and buffed to a shine. Car maintains original mirrors and door handles. The chrome luggage rack is in very good condition as are the bumpers and chrome trimmed exhaust outlets that house square stainless exhaust tips. The original numbers matching, 454 V8 was rebuilt during the cars restoration. Car maintains correct exhaust manifolds and original type exhaust which is in excellent condition. The entire suspension - including upper and lower ball joints, control arm bushings, bearings, tie rods, sway bar trailing arms, seals etc. were replaced or restored during the restoration. The entire brake system - including master cylinder, booster, lines, emergency brake cables has been restored and Calipers have been stainless sleeved. The engine bay is typical of a driver and presents well and features a rebuilt master cylinder and power brake booster. The undercarriage of this car is EXCEPTIONALLY clean. The frame has been restored and is free of the typical scrape marks, dents and rust you would expect after over four decades of road time. The turbo 400 transmission is coupled to a Posi-traction rear with new spring and shocks. Original vinyl interior was replaced with leather interior. Seats still contain their original frames, and original foams. Door panels and dash are still original with nice stainless and wood trim. Crack free dash houses nice gauges and an aftermarket AM/FM radio with a digital tuner) power steering, power disc brakes, tilt and telescopic steering wheel makes for a comfortable, great driving car that can be driven anywhere. Center caps, Stainless trim rings and BF Goodrich T/A radials are like new. This car comes with extensive receipts / documentation that includes most maintenance and restoration receipts dating back to restoration. |
