| Car history: |
I am selling my 69 Corvette factory 427 4 speed. This is just a bare shell and rolling frame with factory big block (AT) code posi rear. This is a true 427/390 h.p. 4 speed, A/C car, original paint was red with black interior. The V.I.N. plate and trim tag still intact. Good bird cage, little rust on windshield frame, rust under lower engine cradle but the rest of the frame back is excellent, good doors with glass.
I did a little research on the car, just by luck, the original dealer sticker was still on the car so I contacted them. The car was modified in 1969 by a Corvette dealership (Horace Slay, Jacksonville MS). They are known for their Corvette sales since the 60's and still sell vintage Vettes and other rare cars. It was painted with black Baldwin stripes, side pipes were added and custom wheels. I spoke to Horace Slay's son who told me this was his uncles car and he remembers it well. He confirmed the car was a 427/390 4 speed that they bought in 1969 from another dealer in Vicksburg. This car was later sold at their dealership, still has the original dealer sticker on the rear. There may be documentation on this car, we don't know yet. I wanted to restore it to the way it looked in 1969 when it was modified. This car has interesting history, with a Corvette dealer who can prove the history and authenticity of the car.
I am moving on with other projects and have no time for this one, it needs a lot, but I feel it is worth restoring. I have a notorized bill of sale from when I bought the car, no title. It will be sold with a bill of sale, which is all you will need to get a title. The rally wheels do not go with car but I can put some on to load it. |
