This is a 1970 Corvette Convertible that I purchased back in 2004 and spent the last 3.5 years restoring her to present glory. I have invested over 20K into this vehicle and a large folder with all receipts I have, go with the car. Some of the items replaced or restored from tires to roof were: brakes, brake lines, rotors, calipers, shocks, convertible top, convertible top frame, weatherstrip kit, carpet, seat frames, seat foam, seat covers, gauges and deluxe door panels just to name a few things. The only items the car needs are a pair of convertible door receivers that were lost when car went out for paint; there are a few minor nicks around the top of the doors due to these missing, so you will need to get a set. Also, the windshield wiper motor needs to be replaced. This car looks like a Baldwin Motion car from pictures I have seen on various websites and that is why I have this listed in my description. The motor in the car is a date correct (block #3970010) 1970 350 4 Bolt Main that I sent out along with the transmission to be re-built; sounds great with the sidepipes. Also, the car has a nice base coat clear coat paint job that was done in November 2007. The car is Bridgehampton Blue Metallic with Bright Blue interior. Also, the frame is solid and in great condition as well. I also had 4 new Firestone tires mounted on the car last month, 2 BIG P295/50R15's on the rear and 2 P235/60R15's on the front; balancing and alignment was also done. The pictures do not do this car justice. I have old registrations and also a dealer brochure from 1978 with this car on it. I was able to contact a previous owners daughter and she was nice enough to send me a couple of color pictures of the car from the 1970's. This Vette gets nothing but lots of attention and compliments when I take her out on weekends. I registered this Vette on July 3rd with 27,799 miles on the odometer and have put on 244 miles since then. Again, this is a true old school custom that stands out from most Vettes with an aggressive appearance. 28,043 miles. September 29, 2008. |
