Car history:
2) This is a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible with a 350ci/350hp Chevy engine. It is a 4 speed manual with Hurst Shifter. Have owned it just over a year now. Hate to get rid of it but I am moving states and will not have room for it in my life. Mechanically: This car runs and drives smoothly. Has never given me trouble on the road or starting her up. Cosmetically: This car is pristine! Everything is new and I have redone most of the car to get it looking this way. Gets tons of attention on the road and whether your sitting next to an old Honda or a brand new Ferrari. (Both have happened to me!). Electronically: Everything on this car works except the clock. (All lights-dash-tail-head, Radio and aftermarket Pioneer Speakers, Power Steering, odometer, fuel gauge, engine heat gauge, oil pressure, etc.). I have done many things to get the car looking and driving this way: Car has been professionally repainted and does not have a scratch on it, Brand new vinyl seats and convertible top, Brand new battery, Brand new brakes, Brand new trailing arms, Brand new power steering, Replaced wheels, Engine has been re-wired and has brand new ignition. (Starts up every time!). Everything on this car works (except for the clock of course, thats the toughest!) and I have never had a problem driving or starting or just simply looking at this gorgeous Vette. ps. Did i mention how good she sounds too??? I bought it off ebay last year. It was maroon but when I got it, it didn't look very good. Was very dull. So we had it professionally repainted red. The car is not matching numbers so it didn't make a difference to us. We get so much more attention with it being red now and as you see on the ad we re-did a lot of things. It's a great driving car now. We moved from Louisville Tenessee to Florida in 2010. 64,351 miles from the odometer. August 20, 2009.
1) This 1968 Corvette convertible is in great condition for its age. Over the past 40 years, this car has been cared for and garaged like a classic should be. This car is very clean on the exterior as well as the interior. It is in overall very good condition. The seats are in great shape with no cracks or fading. The dash has no cracks - a common problem. The console and instrument cluster are in good condition and all functional. The exterior is in good shape with newer, nice paint. The rims are stock and the newer tires have tons of tread left. All the chrome is there and in good shape. The glass is all in nice shape with no scratches or cracks. The engine runs strong and smooth. The 4 speed transmission shifts with authority! This car does not appear to ever have been smoked in. Please see the pictures and descriptions for complete information on this beautiful 4 speed manual convertible. 61,231 miles. Colors from the trim plate. May 22, 2008.
